MRT is a systematic cognitive-behavioral, step by step
treatment strategy, designed to enhance self-image, promote growth of a positive, productive identity,
and facilitate the development of
Higher Stages of Moral Reasoning
The workbook: Discovering Life and Liberty in the Pursuit of Happiness
is a mental health workbook based on the core principles of
Moral Reconation Therapy.
It includes 16 steps, with 12 of these typically completed in 24-26 weekly group sessions.
Clients will complete workbook homework prior to weekly group sessions. In
group clients present work and it is determined by their peers if they are ready to move to the next step.
MRT is an open group, meaning that new clients can enter an ongoing group at any time. All clients work at their own pace but are expected
to make a commitment and adequate progress with a
positive attitude for change.
